Do panther's estivate

Panthers, which are often referred to as melanistic leopards or cougars depending on the region, do not typically estivate. Estivation is a state of dormancy that some animals enter to survive extreme heat or drought, primarily seen in certain amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates. Panthers are more active hunters and adapt to their environments without entering such a dormant state, although they may seek shade or rest during the hottest parts of the day.
