What are visa requirements for an Australian travelling to New Zealand?

Citizens and permanent residents of Australia (without criminal records), may visit, live or work in New Zealand Indefinitely. Australian citizens are exempted for the requirement to hold a permit and Australian permanent residents are granted a resident permit.
