How old to fly a glider?

Here in Canada you can qualify for a glider pilot licence at age 15, one year before you are old enough to drive. Many young people are introduced to this sport, often called soaring, and trained free through the Royal Canadian Air Cadet programme, under the direct supervision and control of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The RCAC programme accepts new members at age 12 and teaches cool stuff like weather, navigation, the rules of the sky, etc. and every member gets to ride in a glider at least once a summer.
