What aspects of feudalism might be unpleasant for peasants?

The fact that they lived in hovels, had little or no heat, could be sent to war at the lord's wish, owed/paid taxes even when they died, that they were basically slaves, had no rights, and lived only to about 30 years old if they were lucky.
