Was Henry ford nice or mean man?

It was said he was always a "ruthless" man, and that he was doing something productive and profitable. He believed that his sucess in producing automobiles made him "immortal" and he was slightly full of himself. Yet he was also very determined to create the best automobile empire in history. So, he was a cold, ruthless industrialist, but yet he probably had good inside him somewhere.
