Who chooses the curriculum for Baltimore City Public Schools?

Most state school boards develop the requirements for education within the state. From that, the school districts determine what books shall be read, topics to be covered in each class at each grade level and choose from the suggested text books and so on. The teachers are responsible (generally) for presentation and organization of the classroom experience.
