White blood cells are very different that red blood cells. Red blood cells transport oxygen to tissues, white blood cells have the function of fighting off infections. Red blood cells also have no nucleus, white blood cells do, infact some even have multiple. There is only one type of red blood cell. There are many different types of white blood cells, each has a different function in adaptive and innate immunity.
