What food is available in the Sahara Desert?

Forms of food are available everywhere. Deserts are not empty for the most part. Insects, animals and plants can be found. There are other options though such as some cactus are edible and many nomads cook and kill live goats for an evening meal. if this is not available they may eat fruit and crops from an oasis if there is one nearby. they also eat a special type of porridge.
