What happens to sperm in poop?

Sperm in feces typically do not survive for long due to the harsh environment of the digestive system. The acidity and enzymes present in feces can quickly damage sperm cells, rendering them nonviable. Additionally, once exposed to air, sperm cells can desiccate and die. Therefore, sperm found in poop is unlikely to be capable of fertilization.
