Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII (1491 - 1547) died in 1537 within days of giving birth to Henry's only legitimate son, Edward, later Edward VI (1537 - 1553).?(Historians are not really certain of the year of Jane Seymour's birth, it is circa 1504 to 1509.)
