Which UK mobile operator is 079?

The regulator Ofcom publishes lists of which numbers have been allocated to which operator. However, you will need at least 5, or sometimes 6, digits to determine the operator owning a block of numbers.

Note that this will only tell you which company was originally issued the numbers. It is quite possible for people to take their numbers with them when they move to a different mobile network entirely.
