What is a zopilate?

A zopilate, also known as a zopilote, is a term used in some Latin American countries to refer to a vulture, particularly the Black Vulture (Coragyps atratus). These birds are scavengers, often seen feeding on carrion, and play a crucial role in the ecosystem by helping to clean up dead animals.
