How long can a person survive by taking chemo that has leukemia?

The length of time it takes to die from leukemia varies greatly. It really depends upon how advanced the illness is, how much of the body it has spread to, the overall health of the patient, and a number of other factors. Some patients die within a few weeks of diagnosis, while others die years later, or don't die from the illness at all.
