What does the medical abbreviation ASCUD mean?

ASCUD is not a typical medical abbreviation. ASCUS, though, stands for atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance. This pap smear result is not a normal result, but can't be called cancer or precancerous either. Usually the result means further testing or more frequent testing is needed.
