Another Idea..?

You could name the twins after the month they were born. One of them named after the star sign, the other the birthstone. For example:

Amethyst & Aquarius (Amy & Aqua?)

Pearl & Gemini

..

Though depending on the date of the month, It might not work out like that. ^ But all the same:

Gemini & Emerald

..

Sound just as nice.
