How do you tell a shy girl you like her?

Like shy guys, shy girls can be very mysterious, and it leads guys to wonder "Does she like me?" Here are a few dead give-aways to figuring out us shy gals.

•She AVOIDS you. Totally. Shy girls normally want to have nothing to do with the boy they're interested in. The reason for this is they may feel insecure about being around you. They might think when starting a conversation with you they might say something stupid and you'll get all awkward and quiet. The best way to talk to a shy girl is to start off by saying something funny that might break the ice. Crack a joke. Make her laugh. She'll feel a lot more comfortable around you if she knows she can let loose and be herself without you thinking she's weird.

•Her face turns red when around you or sitting next to you. She's embarrassed to be around you. Especially when the teacher will assign you a seat right next to hers. Because of this she'll normally be dead silent or act as if you weren't really sitting there at all. You can break the silence by simply starting a conversation with her. Girls love to talk. About anything really. You get us talking and sometimes you can't get us to shut up. So bring up something general, for example: "Last night's homework was hard. Did you get it?"

•She whispers to other girls around you. If she looks at your or blushes as she's whispering, it's probably a good thing about you. She's probably telling her friend about something that caught her eye you did in class. No girl can keep her feelings inside her. So if she won't tell you, chances are, she'll tell her friends.

•She won't make eye contact. If you catch her staring, she'll look away quickly. If you look into her eyes while asking her a question or starting a conversation, she'll look for maybe 2 or 3 seconds and then quickly look away. Don't take this personally, she wants to look at you, but afraid you'll catch her staring into your eyes like a puppy begging for bacon.

•She'll act normal around other guys, and around you she's silent. Again, she's afraid to say something stupid and screw up. Around other guys she doesn't have to worry about screwing up because she knows what they think doesn't matter. She knows what you think does.

•Her friends will tell you. Girls can't shut up. They can't keep secrets. And they like to tease. If her friends has already blurted her mouth to you and told you, chances are, they're not lying. Especially if more than one friend tells you. And if the girl seems mad at one of her friends that told you, chances are that friend has already told her that she told you she likes you. Kind of complicated? Lemme dumb it down a bit. A girl tells you another girl likes you, it's true.

If you like her back, let her know. Don't hold it in. She won't wait for you forever. Get to know her. Find out what she likes. But don't take things too fast. And if you don't like her back, put her down gently. If you say you hate her to her face, she'll break down. Literally. So don't.
