Without knowing the answer to what color you hair is, depends on the advice I'd provide to you, but not too drastically. So, just to educate you a bit because I don't know how much knowledge you have I'll start by telling you that depending on the shade of your hair that's natural makes a difference to the process, its chemicals, the amount used during the process, etc.

What the bleach or peroxide does chemically is strips your hair of pigment, which results in what we label blonde...But ONLY if it's done properly because then we call it brassy. If anyone ever uses this term to describe the color of your hair, it's a red flag. You don't want brassy blond because it can look extremely tacky, completely fake, very damaged as well as uncomplimentary to the color of your skin tones. It's not such an easy process to strip pigment from a person's hair and also have the end result look as much like any natural blond as possible.

Actually another tid bit to know is in the world there are really very very few naturally blond haired people after puberty, since our hair changes at this point (adulthood).

So, overall my point is to first go to a salon close to you (if they want you to have an appointment with a stylist first, try going to the hair school in the area) and have them take a look at your undertones and shades of hair in order to give you the best feedback as to which product, process, chemicals, steps involved, etc that they can.

If you feel less confident to go to a hair school think of it this way; the individuals going to the school don't have to be the ones telling you what they suggest, because (hello!) they do have very well experienced and educated instructors that teach them.

Lastly, what I'm suggesting is for you to hold off and try the things I mentioned first. At least if you're concerned about the shade of blonde you end up with and want it to look healthy and flattering, WAIT! WAIT! WAIT!
