What is a environmental issues facing both the US and Canada?

There are a ton of environmental issues in North America! Obviously, there's air and water pollution, but there's also a bunch of issues with solid waste disposal. People aren't recycling, which is adding unnecessary mass to the landfills that are filling up rapidly. Dependence on fossil fuels is increasing the amount of chlorofluorocarbons in the air, contributing to global warming. That's not all there are, but those are the main ones.
