The Australian government does not levy tax on lottery winnings. If you are a tourist to Australia and win lotto you don't have to pay taxes on the prize - if you win $10 million you get $10 million!

However, depending on what country you are from, it is possible that your own government would want to tax the lotto prize. This depends on your home country's laws about income etc, so I can't advise on this.
