Where did the name abercrombie and fitch co come from?

Abercrombie & Fitch's name came from Mr. Abercrombie and Ezra Fitch. Mr. Abercrombie started his company, Abercrombie, an outdoor equipment store. Ezra Fitch was one of his really frequent and high-spending customers. So he joined Mr. Abercrombie in his business and changed the name to Abercrombie & Fitch. A few CEO's later they changed from an outdoor equipment store to a clothing store.
