Why does your Kia Sportage keep stalling?

I have had two Sportage and they both had issues with stalling and jerking violently. The reason, I discovered - the one the dealer couldn't figure out after multiple visits, is the connection to the airflow meter. After a couple of years the connection and tabs that hold that connection tight start to get looser. I took a pair of oversized wire ties and strapped them around the plug and intake and my problems went away immediately. I found on the web after numerous hours of hunting a few posts where Kia knew about this but apparently Word never got around to the dealers. It is the plug connection.
