From a symbolic aspect when it says " can't you see the mountain" it implies that there may be a problem (a hurdle) that someone may have to overcome. "There's no signal there may be a ship out there" could imply that there is a chance that they may not get to that 'ship' to take them to where they want to be. So they can get away from that 'mountain' or that issue. When you piece it together you can make sense of it by thinking that someone needs to overcome a problem but there may not be that someone 'the ship' to help them to get where they want to be. I'm not sure about the "are you all of you rockers" though. This is only from a symbolic point of view.
