The Scottish people have three main ancestral traits which the biggest is Norman which makes up 50% of Scottish bloodlines the others are Flemish and Gaelic, the Vikings became as one with the Gaelic hence clan surnames names similar to some Scandinavian sir names, but the historians of Scotland have a problem cause they were two groups of Viking settling in Scotland Nordic Norwegian and Dane's law Viking, and Scots of old spoke old English and Nordic the Nordic language died and the last known area where this was spoken was in the border region of Scotland and to this day Scottish people speak to this day a Teutonic language that BTW has nothing to do with Gaelic and modern day English.
