Russia's participation in WW1 is often flossed over by historians in general because they quit the war right in the middle of it (due to their Bolshevik Revolution); afterwards in which faster paced actions buried the Russian's participation into obscurity. Italy experienced the same thing; only a brief mentioning in the history books, because they quit WW2 right in the middle of it, in 1943.
