Can you take an antibiotic and antidepressant together?

It is probably safe to take an antibiotic and antidepressant together; however, "antibiotic" and "antidepressant" are both really big categories of drugs, and there are many, many different types of each. When visiting your doctor, always let the doctor know what drugs you are taking so he or she can prescribe drugs that are safe to take together.
