In the United States, however Bluebirds are not Girl Scouts. They are the younger members of Camp Fire Girls. They become Camp Fire Girls at the age of 12. Camp Fire Girls and Bluebirds were started before Girl Scouts. The groups were formed because they were not allowed in the Boy Scouts.

In addition:

Girl Guides ages 7 to 11, in the Guides Association of Thailand, are called Bluebirds.
