Yes the female's abdominal tissues and organs will eventually

breakdown and absorb all the sperm, whcih can live for up to a week

in her body, though they are only capable of fertilization for

about 2 days. The rest of the time they just keep swimming upstream

and can get as the diaphragm. If anything, it gives them a little

shot of glucose and protein, which are nutrients anyway, so their

body knows what to do with it.
