Did George Washington have dentures

It is possible. The common story is that Washington's teeth were carved from wood, but this is not the case. They were constructed using human teeth, cow teeth, and the ivory from elephants and walruses. Unfortunately, the records of where the materials were acquired have been lost to history. The only evidence that the human teeth belonged to slaves comes from a brief notation in his ledger, so the speculation that his dentures included the teeth of his slaves is not an uneducated guess.
