When answering this question, it is important to accept that what ever answer that may be given , it must be viewed from the christian point of view as The Bible is a christian spiritual book. Have a minute of silent prayer before you proceed to read the answer so that the Lord Jesus can guide you through trials and temptations that may arise thereafter. 1. The Word Remember denotes- do not forget, do not ignore, always consider. 2. All the commandments are given in continuous present tense meaning that they should always be observed including the Fourth one. But why remember the fourth one? What we need to remember on the sabbath day provides the answer to the question asked. It is to keep it HOLY. a) The sabbath day has been and still is and will still be HOLY unto the Lord who created the Heaven and the Earth and all that is in it. b) God who is all knowing saw and is seeing and will continue to see that man whom He had created will depart from keeping His sabbath day HOLY. Therefore we are REMINDED( to Remember) to keep it HOLY. Anything that is Holy cannot be common, It has to be put aside for such holy use. The sabbath day was and is not a common day in the life of a christian. God through His prophet provided facts of what will be done to His sabbath day when time and times shall be changed. The sabbath shall not be kept HOLY in such times. So understand what it is that the Lord wants you to REMEMBER on the sabbath day?
