What is the difference between practical and interpersonal skills?

Practical skills relate to the ability to "do" something, like work a math problem or ride a bike or swim or build a house. These are sometimes called "hard skills".

Interpersonal skills relate to dealing with people and getting things done with and through others. Common interpersonal skills are influencing others, motivation, communication, relationships and are sometimes referred to as "soft skills".
