What is theTrophosphere?

The troposphere is the lowest layer of Earth's atmosphere, extending from the surface up to about 8 to 15 kilometers (5 to 9 miles) high, depending on geographic location and weather conditions. It is where most of the Earth's weather occurs, as it contains the majority of the atmosphere's mass, including water vapor and clouds. The temperature typically decreases with altitude in this layer, leading to a variety of climatic phenomena. The troposphere is capped by the tropopause, which separates it from the stratosphere above.
