Basically, those people use MLA style who are writing a paper in literature, arts, English, languages, history or philosophy. The MLA style is most commonly used in North American schools and Universities, but the MLA research paper style is also popular in other parts of the world like in Europe. The style is most often used in English-speaking countries.
