Harley-Davidson began transitioning to fuel injection in 1995 with the introduction of the Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) system on some of its models. By 2007, fuel injection became standard across the entire Harley-Davidson lineup, phasing out carburetors. This shift was part of the brand’s effort to meet stricter emissions standards and improve performance.
