How do you know if you have mold?

If you can see signs of mold on the walls or ceilings, then you may have mold. Mold may look like specks of dirt, so people don't always recognize it as mold.

If you are having Allergies indoors (congestion, sneezing, itchy eyes) which get better when you spend time outdoors, you may have mold.

If you can smell a musty, mildewy odor, you may have mold.

If there has been water damage or leaking pipes in the apartment or house, you should know that it is very likely that there is mold, especially if the water damage was not corrected properly.
