Grace changed her middle name to "Windsor" from the original "Windkloppel" to hide her true origins; this disguises the fact that she is the only heir who truly is a niece of Sam Westing. She is not as shallow as she comes across, having married for love and not for money, but is determined that her daughter Angela will fare better in life than she did.
