What effect does acid rain have on the process photosynthesis?

The acid chemicals(sulfur from coal and other fossil fuels) harm and kill plant cells stopping photosynthesis. The acids destroy the plants lipids, proteins, and membranes causing the cell to malfunction and lose good clean water and other chemicals needed for photosynthesis.
