What is helping elephants not be on the endangered list?

Many African countries, such as Botswana, are passing laws making it illegal to kill an elephant without approval of the government. More countries need to step up, though, in order to make these laws successful. Scientists are also putting radio collars on elephants so they can check their migrating habits, so these areas can be patrolled by African police.
