Does honey make your hair grow longer?

There is pills, food and drinks in my system so there is no way of knowing for sure, however, a couple years ago I used it to make ten strings in my beard. It looked longer when I put honey in it. The right amount of honey might help it grow a beard, for hair it might do the same.
