Why cant ships sail on the sea of tanquility?

Ships cannot sail on the Sea of Tranquility because it is located on the Moon, which lacks a substantial atmosphere and liquid water. The Sea of Tranquility, or Mare Tranquillitatis, is a vast, flat plain made of solidified lava. Additionally, the Moon's gravity is not conducive to traditional sailing, as there are no bodies of water to navigate. Hence, it’s a barren landscape rather than a maritime environment.
