When changing oil and filter in a 1986 Bayou 300 how much oil?

If it has a sight glass on the lower left side of engine , fill until the oil is halfway in between the lines . Start the motor to fill the oil filter , shut off and let the machine sit for awhile and recheck oil . Fill to center line .
