When a Hindu gets married what do they have to do?

When a Hindu gets married, they don't have the ceremony in one day.

There are at least 4-7 ceremonies throughout a Hindu marriage.

But it depends on what your family decides on.

First ceremony includes..

the Boy and Girl side both meeting each other..

that's like a 4 hour thing. You dance, eat and other fun stuff.

The second ceremony involved a ladies gathering and you put on henna and dance and sing.. before the fun stuff happens there is a little prayer held.. where you do or put stuff on the bride such as rub oil on the bride's head and flip around with rice.

ah aha.. and then the fun stuff happens where the bride and other ladies or young teenagers sit around waiting for someone to put on henna. Meanwhile ladies.. and especially get convered with designs..

the family is dancing or eating or even talking!

3ed ceremony the big thing.

you do your prayers and have to do your prayers while walking around fire 7 times..

and before that you sit and the "pundit" acts as a priest and that's when the ring comes on. after completeing 7 rounds of fire.. your marriage is OFFICIAL.
