Is it safe to abort in the 6th month?

Different states vary. Usually the cut off is 24 weeks (6 months). There are abortions for later term pregnancies but are usually only done if their is a legit medical reason that you cannot continue the pregnancy. It probably is more dangerous to wait late into the pregnancy to have one because it's a different procedure that can take up to two days and the size of the baby living in you is much too big for you to pass on your own. It's probably a lot more painful, physically and emotionally, aborting this late in your pregnancy too.
