Was Daedalus a good father

Daedalus, the skilled craftsman from Greek mythology, is often seen as a complex figure in terms of fatherhood. While he displayed intelligence and creativity in creating the Labyrinth and devising an escape plan for himself and his son Icarus, his parenting is marred by the tragic fate of Icarus. Daedalus warned Icarus about flying too close to the sun, but ultimately, Icarus's downfall reflects a failure in communication and guidance.
