How long did Jesus minister?

Scholars have examined the synoptic gospels (Matthew, Mark and Luke) and say that they seem to indicate that the mission of Jesus lasted no more than one year. As Lukesuggests that John the Baptist began preaching in 28 CE, some say that the crucifixion took place in 30 CE.

John's Gospel clearly has the mission span three years, because of the Passover visits to Jerusalem. For this reason, some say that the crucifixion took place in 33 CE.
