Muhammad gained power through a combination of religious, social, and political strategies. Initially, he preached monotheism in Mecca, gaining followers and facing opposition, which led to his migration to Medina in 622 CE, known as the Hijra. In Medina, he established a strong community and gained political authority as a leader and mediator among tribes. Over time, through military campaigns and strategic alliances, he unified much of the Arabian Peninsula under Islam before his death in 632 CE.
