Is a proverb a story

A proverb is a saying, and in regards to The Bible book, it tells what it's specifically for: To gain wisdom, knowledge, understanding, discipline, uprightness, shrewdness and true insight. (Proverbs 1:2-4) It will help you follow the example of good people, and continue to do so. (Proverbs 2:20)
