Is Connecticut a part of the the new England middle or southern colonies?

Connecticut is part of the New England colonies. It is located in the northeastern region of the United States and is bordered by Massachusetts to the north, Rhode Island to the east, and New York to the west and south. The New England colonies also include Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, and Vermont.
