How do you fix your door-ajar warning bell in 1999 Volvo V70 XC Wagon It won't stop dinging and it kills the battery if the car isn't started every day?

I have the same issue. I can't find a switch on the door anywhere. Were you able to figure anything out? I'm wondering if the switch isn't in the latch. My bell doesn't ring, but the light on the rear door stays on and drains the battery all the same.
