Cup, a international sailing event that is quite prestigious. Providence is the capital and is definitely worth visiting. One obvious attraction, is Brown University located in the capital. It is one of the oldest schools and one of the ivey league schools. Pawtucket, is located in the south near Connecticut, and is a wonderful, coastal community-very scenic! Even thought Rhode Island is the smallest state in the union, approximately half the state is forested. Visit the state parks if you get a chance.
