Teams are generally seeded in sports. That means their rankings.

For instance, say Sacramento Kings are seeded #1, the Phoenix Suns #2, and the San Antonio Spurs #3 in the NBA playoffs.

That means the Kings are the #1 team, the Suns #2, and Spurs #3.
